Books

• I'm a book worm =) 
• But I don't have an interest in stories primarily about vampires and werewolves in general (they overuse "damsel in distress")
• I like thrillers, supernatural, young adult novels (typical for my age). i also like cultural and allegorical novels
• Some of my fav: Hunger Games, The mortal instruments, Twentieth Wife, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, The Giver, Speak, Twisted, Percy and the Olympians, etc
• Recently I've been drawn to nonfiction but I haven't had time to actually read a nonfiction book for pleasure..

Movies

• I like collecting DVDs (currently 100+ in my collection).(haven't really done so for about a year or so so I don't have any new DVDs. Been wanting to get Great Gatsby, Le Miz, Avengers, Hunger Games, Now You See Me, Life of Pi, Brave, etc. I don't have a running list so when I get home, I always forget what I want to buy until I get to the store.)
• I like thrillers, comedy, action/adventure, and drama as well as musicals.
• I don't like horror at all. I don't really care if that makes me a wimp or w/e but I don't take joy in it like other people can...
• I like Disney movies, my favorite is the Little Mermaid and Mulan
• My favorite movies are National Treasure 1 and 2. I don't know why exactly but it's something about Nicholas Cage and the brilliance of the character he portrays (don't know about the celebrity himself) as well as the immersion of American history.
• I used to enjoy watching movies a lot but using two hours at a time to watch a movie seems like such a waste of time when I have so much work to do. More into following TV shows now

TV Shows

• LOVE: How I Met Your Mother (last season this year has been a series of hit and miss episodes though...) 
• Currently: Arrow, Revenge, The Blacklist, HIMYM, Modern Family
• Completed: Smallville, House, Smash, Merlin, Under the Dome (1 season so far)
• On Hold:  Doctor Who, Supernatural, Mad Men (caught up on netflix), Suits, Two Broke Girls, Once Upon a Time, Revolution, Agents of Shield
• Other shows I enjoy(ed): One Tree Hill (first 5/6 seasons before the main characters left),
• May Drop/Long time on hold: Bones, Criminal Minds, Glee, New Girl, The Big Bang Theory, The Dresden Files (could tell there was lack of production support. Have a few episodes left so I don't know if it's worth my time)
• Reality-ish Shows (as reality as I'll go at least): Hollywood Game Night, Master chef (America)

~ - ~ Music ~ - ~

Indie pop/rock, Alt-pop/rock, anything instrumental as long as it doesn't sound like noise. Classical but depends. I have phases. I don't like listening to music just b/c other people listen to it. I enjoy more easy going/listening music too. I don't enjoy rap and prefer more authentic sound like acoustic. 

Current Obsessions (Winter 2014): Gavin DeGraw-Every single freaking song in all of his albums. Seriously, he is "god sent". He writes his own songs and each will eventually reach your heart. Timeless Favorite: Soldier  Present Favorites: Finest Hour, Different for Girls

~ - ~ Me ~ - ~

I'm quite the quiet introvert and anti-socialist actually. I'm one of those people in a class that won't strike up a conversation on the first day just because you're sitting next to me in lecture that say. I'm not very conversational but I'm nice. I'm not afraid to do something if I have to or if I think it will benefit me (despite discomfort) unless I can do fine without it.I can be professional though-I'm actually kind of goody two shoe professional especially where I work. But yeah...I'm pretty socially awkward b/c I'm not good at starting and continuing conversations without ending up with a forced smile  You may not like talking to me after a point too-I'm quite logical and pessimistic about things so I'm a certified party pooper =d. If you want a funny or pleasing to the ear reason for some "silly" thing, you'll likely get something more logical and rational. I also have an unconditional laugh kind of thing where if people phrase something in a light humorous way but it's actually not so great news/information, it will induce a smile/laugh from me. It's kind of a coping mechanism I suppose. For these reasons, I'm not good with connecting with people on a personal level so I'm not good at meeting new people. For me, the propinquity effect over a period of time is the best way I can form a relationship unless I shut down that possibility completely.

I'm also a professional self-handicapper though aka procrastinator. I can procrastinate like heck and it's gotten worse since I got into college. I even use work as an excuse to procrastinate. I can procrastinate down the last hour, even minute. I've done it down to the minute before and I don't want to experience that ever again....I'm not huge on studying basically. I probably won't go to grad school since I don't take enjoyment in studying nor being very social with people.

• Genre: Josei, Shoujo mainly (occasionally shounen)
• Subgenres: Gender Bender, Historical, Entertainment (acting, singing, modelling, fashion), Cooking, Artistic (classics at best like ballet)
• Qualities: Realistic (slice of life), Ambitious 
• Others: i dislike cliches but sometimes, they are just so sweet and nice =) ambitious characters in mangas are my favorite =D Often if I feel bored, I'll go for a cliche just to fill up time. 
• I've read a lot of mangas in my days so if you need me to recommend a good manga in any of the categories I've listed above, I don't mind but be prepared for a long response

• I bought this on ebay vol 1-12; bought from Kinnokuniya store a few years ago 13-15 when CMX first closed down.
• Kodocha
• Bought for a good deal in very good condition as a whole collection
• Forest of Gray City
• Bought both volumes as a complete set as a somewhat bonus item/not really for one of the manga collections I bought on ebay
• W Juliet by EMURA
• Bought whole collection in "like new" condition plus I have an extra volume of 13 and 14 that I bought when vol 13 and 14 first came out (have plans on selling that)
• Shugo Chara by Peach Pitt
• I bought volumes 1-5 (I think) when it was first being released. I don't know if I have plans on completing the collection
• Gentlement's Alliance Cross by Arina Tanemura
• aka Shinshi Doumei Cross online-I have volumes 1-4 I think and like Shugo Chara, I am not sure if I have plans on completing it as a collection
• Etc---I'm not home right now so I can't remember what other mangas I have.

I've never been in love. Never had a crush in my life that I was aware of. I'm still new to understanding love even on the scale of friendship. I'm not so much in a hurry to find love since I don't know what I would do and I don't think I would be ready for the emotional stress and damage it can come with until I figure out the whole friend thing =d
